Thursday, June 14, 2007; EARTH DAY~
Hey, it's Rocky Road as usual...
Well I know I haven't been blogging for a while yet, but hey, HERE I AM NOW! :P.
Today is National Earth Day? YEAH that's roight! :).
So today in assemble was a bit different... Instead of singing the usual "Earth Day" songs in English, they got the Forgien Language classes to sing the song...
Year 7 Mandarin
Year 8 Malay
Year 10 French (hint: my class!)
HAHA, what can I say? I had LOTS of fun practising as well as performing it on stage! LOVES IT! :).
Here's the song that we sang..( sorry to the people who don't understand french ;) )
---------------
---------------
Anyway, I'd just like to take this opportunity to say condolences to my old French teacher who passed away because of cancer, though unsure what type on cancer it is...
Mr. Burton, you will always be remembered by your love students from Year 7 and Year 8... Never forget us, because we surely won't forget you and your plant spray :).
Oh, I'd also like to say good-bye to the MOST wonderful teacher I've ever had for Math. He's the best and he will always be remembered no matter where he is in the world!
MR. WALTERS DON'T LEAVE US! WHO'S GONNA HELP US WITH OUR IGCSE'S!!
---------------
GrACE 5 is just in a matter of hours - I so can't wait! I'm actually excited about our CHEER DANCE! - I hope I don't mess up :S hehe.
Peace, out...

Tuesday, June 5, 2007; END OF EXAMS!
YES IT'S FINALLY THE END OF MOCKS!
LET'S CELEBRATE AND DANCE MAN!! XD
Haha, this is like the first post for June, quite late, yes I know, well I mean who could blame Shey and I, we were still in the middle of exams you know! XD.
Let's see, I had no exams on Wednesday nor Thursday, but heck yeah I had an exam on Friday...
Friday - IGCSE ICT and English Language
Man this was no fun at all, well IGIT was okay, just that I totally blanked out on the part of the ISP question -_-" English was okay.. I finished the paper early - so i was kinda like sitting in the room for 40minutes.. NOT COOL! HAHA, I think I word counted my work about 5 times! HAHA, yeah, stupid word limits XD.
Not forgetting that Friday was also the last day of school before mid-term.. for only a week - what a bummer. Plus, I can't really say that it's a "mid-term break" for us.. More like a break so we can study for Science & Foreign Language - that's no fun at all 'cos I was planning to have Shey over at my place so we can pig out and watch DVDs and stuff.. To bad we couldn't do it.. fricking 20+ topics to study for Science -_-"
But I guess it's alright, I'm going to ask her tomorrow about hanging out this Friday since I've got no violin class in the afternoon :) YAY! Hehe..
Oh yeah, not to get side tracked about yeah...
Yesterday we did our Science Theory papers, and no doubt I think I fail.. Well not exactly fail, but get a bad mark.. I SOOO BLANKED OUT ON THE SECTION ABOUT THE VILLI.. want to know why? Only because I didn't focus on studying that area only because I thought it wasn't important.. It's funny because the ones that I actually focus on didn't come up in the exam.. PISSED ME OFF MAN!
Today (which is infact the LAST day of MOCKS!) we had our Science practical and Foreign Language (in my case French) exam :S.
HAHA, just to clarify, I'm not so good with practicals, heck I have Bunsen-Burner-phobia, don't ask me why.. just had a bad experience with one in the past XD.
Actually to my surprise, the practicals weren't as hard as I would've expected it to be. HAHA, Rais man was so funny.. he did the experiment wrong and Ms. Banneel was like "Rais.. Stop.." in that small, quiet tone. HAHA, and we could hear Ms. O shouting at the batch of students in the other room.. "Question 3 is Biology, Question 3 is Biology, QUESTION 3 IS BIOLOGY!" HAHA, because I heard that Biology was to be done last.. and yeah Ms. O thought question 1 was Biology, infact it was Chemistry and people kept on asking her how is it Biology and she scolded each of them to just move onto question 2.. HAHA, hilarious XD. OH YEAH! We were supposed to start practicals at 7:30, but then my clab didn't have any power so we like had to wait 'til about quater past before we could do our practicals.. it was hilarious.. I was actually hoping that it wouldn't work so we could skip out on practicals, HAHA unfortunately, I think Ms. Woolley didn't want that to happen XD.
So yeah, after practicals, Gyver & I were practically talking about it and how we found it. We had very different answers :S so I'm guessing that it's either I FAIL and he passes, or he fails and I PASS! HAHA, I hope I pass..
SHUCKS, French was.. hmmm.. what can I say? I found the writing section easier than the first few sections that were meant to be simpler than the writing part. HAHA. Dig this, we had a text in French.. the question was in English and we had to answer in English.. I KNOW THIS SHOULD BE SO SIMPLE, infact I guess it was the hardest to do among the sections! HAHA. weird much? Not really, because it was HARD! boo yah..
Our French exam lasted for 2 hours, even though on our timetable it was supposed to last for 14 hours.. HAHA yeah it was a typo the silly teachers made.. after telling them twice and them having to re-do the timetable thrice, they still didn't change it.. It read, French Exam - 12:25pm to 2:45am.. heck no way I going to sit in the exam room for 14 hours, doing what? I think chewing on the desk XD.
Anyway... End of post I guess..
OH YES! I FINALLY GOT JOSEPH TO CANTOR LAST WEEK!
- actually auntie irene did, but i supported her lah ;)

Friday, May 25, 2007; Reminiscing...
Usually people reminisce about their past, today I was different...
I'll be off to Canada and USA soon, like in about a month in search for a school...
I feel quite relieved that I'll soon be away from Brunei, I mean, of course I'm going to miss Brunei. I've been in Brunei practically my whole life! It would be sad to leave.
If I do manage to get a school in either Canada or USA, it would be great.
And because if this, it got me thinking about my future...
I keep on thinking how life would be when I move to Canada or USA...
To think about it, USA is like HOME to the biggest celebrities in the world! Imagine what it would be like being friends with some of them (ahem Blake Lewis!).
Yeah, and that's another thing, either place I manage to settle in, I am not too far off from watching American Idol, LIVE and not on Television! Imagine going to the Premiers of Blockbuster Movies and meeting up with the Stars in the Movie themselves (Orlando Bloom!).
WOW! :P OH! And getting interviewed by Ryan when he goes out on the street asking what people think of the show XD.
OH OH! And not to mention the never ending live concerts they have! OH! And being able to host TRL! HAHA, man...
Life would definitely be different in another country. Not like the boring lifestyle we've got in Brunei. I'm sorry to say this, but it's true. We don't have much nightlife here in Brunei nor much places to go. I can't blame Brunei on the other hand for it being a small country. But hey, at least I'm happy with the "Let's go to the Mall and watch a movie," thing. It's fine.
I can't believe I'm saying this, but heck...
I've also been thinking...
Will I meet my knight in shining armour in either places? As in someone I love and loves me back? That'd be in my wildest dreams XD. I mean, I haven't been really successful in Brunei have I? HAHA. :P. And that's a true fact, I HAVEN'T! I've just been having crushes, and whether I tell them or not, it's always "just friends..."
HAHA! I'm actually thinking of how the love story would be like... Will I meet some random person who caught my eye in the Mall? Or would it be the first day at school thing where you bump into the cutest guy in the school and he asks for your number? I must be seeing stars.
Imagine my boyfriend FILTHY RICH and he owns one of those MTV Cribs? HAHA, amazing.

Welcome to my future home - as if.. but hey, never underestimate the fact that it could come true :)
Okay, now i really think there's something wrong with me... WHAT AM I TALKING ABOUT!?
HAHA, the next part is a gag, whatever possessed me to think about this... XD.
I was thinking that if I'd ever have the perfect slim body and fair skin - almost looking like the typical American teen. Yeah, that got me thinking to get my hair dyed blonde too! By not totally blonde, something like hazlenut brown underneath and blonde on top XD.
HAHA, oh and here comes more silly thoughts. I remember Mr. Canterford inviting all ISB students back in 2017 for the celebration of our Million Trees Project. And I can already see myself in like ten years! HAHA. The Asian girl transformed into the typical all American girl XD.
I walk in with red high heeled pumps (DIOR);
.jpg)
Knee level white dress and red polka dots; A red belt with a huge ribbon at the back;

Red beaded Salior-like necklace;

Carrying a red Doir handbag;

Red dangling earrings;

And GUCCI shades.

Not forgetting the blonde-brown hair, body perfect and fair skin XD.
Me and my imagination.
Then all my friends would be like, whoa! Whodaheck is that? I'd then walk up to them saying hi and remembering their names.
They'd be like "You know us?"
And I'd be like, "Of course! Don't you remember me? I'm Allison!"
And they'd be like "OH *censored*" - jaw dropped faces XD.
And all the guys in school would be like, "WHOA! I should've dated her when she was still in highschool man! Look at her now!" All the guys would be like, "How you doin'?" As a way of trying to flirt with me and ask me to be their girlfriend...
And I'd give them all the big brush off and show them my engagement ring, "Sorry boys, I'm getting married, you should've asked years ago..."
HAHA, and then FBI comes up to me and goes GAGA all over me, trying to win my heart. And just like what I've done to the other boys, I'd be like, "Sorry FBI, I'm getting married...you should've accepted my invitation ten years ago..." HAHA XD.
I'd be 25 by then, seems old but heck I think it would be a great age to be. Not 24 nor 26, but 25 :D.
DAMN! I think I better stop writing, only because it's up to here that I've been "Reminiscing" about. HAHA.

The must see
HOTTEST movie of the month...
PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: AT WORLD'S END
Arriving less than a year after the record-breaking Dead Man's Chest, this third installment of Disney's blockbuster adventure series offers more of the same --
double-crossing characters, elaborate state-of-the-art visual effects, general busyness, and plenty of idiosyncrasies. The feeling of "been there, done that" is amplified all the more by this sequel's bloated runtime, which is just a shade under 3 hours.

Things open in Singapore, where resurrected Captain Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush), Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley), and their nigh-untrackable lot of oddball pirates turn to Sao Feng (Chow Yun-Fat) for help in locating Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp), last seen being devoured by legendary sea monster the Kraken. The efforts of Barbossa and company, soon joined by Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) and Tia Dalma (Naomie Harris), to rescue Captain Jack are instantly complicated by murky motives and the arrival of the East India Trading Company, headed by boring antagonist Lord Cutler Beckett (Tom Hollander).

The journey to Davy Jones' Locker proves moderately compelling, though what awaits there raises the franchise to new heights of silliness. Johnny Depp turns in a mere caricature of his earlier performances, this time sharing the screen with countless clones of himself à la Michael Keaton in Multiplicity. Between this over-employed device and the central practice of bringing dead characters back to life, the word "uninspired" inevitably comes to mind.
What ensues next incorporates all parties, including: the squid-like Davy Jones (Bill Nighy), who is given a romantic back-story as his heart literally continues to pass hands in a locked chest; Will's father Bootstrap Bill (Stellan Skarsgård), who with the passage of time is losing his memory and physically becoming part of Jones' hellish Flying Dutchman ship; and Elizabeth's near-fiancé James Norrington (Jack Davenport), a morally ambiguous figure made extraneous by the years' various cast expansions.
Slow-paced and not very lively, it's rather disappointing to see the once-fresh Pirates franchise hobble to its (likely momentary) conclusion. For a movie so long in development that's spending so many millions of dollars on production and promotion, it's amazing that all of the people involved couldn't see where they went wrong here and corrected themselves. There is no change of personnel to cite; blame therefore must go to producer Jerry Bruckheimer, director Gore Verbinski, and writers Ted Elliott and Terry Rossio, who all, perhaps understandably, have developed this universe, to massively positive public approval, into something so big and lucrative that they can't possibly see it out in a coherent, satisfactory fashion.

At World's End feels closer to its immediate predecessor than The Curse of the Black Pearl, the original, subtitled-at-the-last-moment film that was embraced beyond all expectations in the summer of 2003.
That's somewhat attributable to the fact that World's End was written and partially shot at the same time as Dead Man's Chest. While able to stand on its own, World's End builds upon elements introduced in the second film and places a fair value on its humor abilities, with extremely calculated comic relief gags divided among animals (the Capuchin monkey Jack and Cotton's unnamed Macaw parrot) and misfits (the goofy duo of Pintel and Ragetti played by Lee Arenberg and Mackenzie Crook, Martin Klebba's vertically-challenged Marty) alike.
The worst way in which World's End is similar to Dead Man's, however, is in its manufactured nature. The movie seems consciously designed to ensure repeat theater trips to pick up on everything in play. At any given point during the film, one is apt to ask "What the heck is going on exactly?" and get nowhere. "Who's betraying who?" The real question is "Why should we care?" The Bruckheimer style of moviemaking -- where only the rare shot can last more than four seconds -- collides with Elliott and Rossio's script, yielding something replete with both plot particulars and vagaries.

Wednesday, May 23, 2007; Blake Lewis lover forever...

It's definitely Beauty vs. Beatbox...
Eventhough the 'Beauty' won, the 'Beatbox' will always remain my Idol.
It was sad to see him not win the title, but I still have faith in him...
HE WILL SELL MORE RECORDS THAN JORDIN SPARKS
HE WILL BE AS SUCCESSFUL AS JORDIN SPARKS
He will be like Chris Daughtry; he didn't win, but even more successful than the American Idol winner...
I'm so in love with him, his humbleness makes me tingle...
I'll be off to Canada and New York during summer holidays, man I sure hope I get to meet him :D
I FXCKING LOVE HIM! ♥
Just by looking at this picture, it shows he has great sportsmanship... For Shey & I, he is a true winner and a true idol. He is the role model and he is our future.

Before entering the FRICKING cold Drama room:

"American Idol" final pits personality vs youthTonight at 8:29 pm "American Idol" voters kicked the most experienced professional singer out of the running on Wednesday to put a chirpy male contestant and a 17-year-old girl with a huge voice into the final round of the smash hit TV talent contest.
Miranda Doolittle, 29, a long-time backup singer who has stunned the show's judges and viewers with her voice since entering the competition as a super-shy contestant, was voted out in a closely fought contest by a telephone vote.
Her departure leaves Blake Lewis, 25, and Jordin Sparks, 17, as the finalists in the sixth season of "American Idol," which has produced a list of successful recording stars from its winners -- and its losers.
DAMN! Tough break for Melinda, they even spelt her name wrong on Yahoo News.
